Visa Overview

What is the UAE Job Seeker Visa?

Formally called the Job Exploration Entry Permit (also referred to as the Jobseeker Visit Visa on the UAE Government Portal), this permit was introduced to let skilled, qualified professionals enter the UAE independently — without a company sponsor or a host — purely to search for work, attend interviews, and network before committing to a role.

No Sponsor Needed

You apply on your own through ICP Smart Services or GDRFA (Dubai) — no employer or UAE resident has to vouch for you.

Flexible Duration

Choose 60, 90, or 120 days depending on how long you realistically need to job-hunt and interview.

Job-Search Only

You cannot legally work on this permit — it only covers interviews, networking, and job-hunting activity.

Direct Path to Employment

Once you receive an offer, your new employer converts your status into a standard UAE Employment Visa and residence permit.

Choose Your Validity

90-Day Permit

A balanced middle option, giving you time to network, attend multiple interview rounds, and negotiate offers.

Mid fee tier Single entry

120-Day Permit

The maximum validity — ideal if you're job-hunting cold, without confirmed interviews before arrival.

Eligibility Requirements

Do You Qualify for the UAE Job Seeker Visa?

This permit is built for skilled candidates, not general labour. You typically need to meet one of two routes recognised by MOHRE (Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation).

Route 1

Experienced Professional

Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher and fall under MOHRE Skill Levels 1–3.

  • Skill Level 1: Legislators, managers & business executives
  • Skill Level 2: Professionals (engineers, doctors, IT, finance)
  • Skill Level 3: Technicians & associate professionals
Route 2

Recent Top-University Graduate

Graduated within the last 2 years from a university ranked in the global top 500.

  • Degree must be attested and verifiable
  • No prior work experience mandatory under this route
  • University ranking is checked against recognised global lists
Also Required

Funds & Insurance

Financial and insurance proof is checked for every applicant, regardless of route.

  • Bank statement showing sufficient balance
  • Valid health/travel insurance for your full stay
  • Refundable security deposit, returned on exit or conversion

Common Questions

UAE Job Seeker Visa — Frequently Asked

Officially the Job Exploration Entry Permit, it is a single-entry visit visa that lets skilled foreign professionals enter the UAE for 60, 90, or 120 days to search for work — without needing an employer sponsor or a local host.

No. This permit only allows you to attend interviews, network, and search for employment. Once you accept an offer, your employer must convert your status into a standard UAE Employment Visa before you can legally start work.

You generally need a Bachelor's degree or higher and must fall under MOHRE Skill Levels 1–3, OR be a recent graduate (within the last 2 years) from a university ranked in the global top 500. Proof of funds and valid insurance are required either way.

Government fees rise with duration and typically sit in the AED 1,500–1,900 range across the 60/90/120-day tiers, plus a refundable security deposit of roughly AED 1,000. Exact fees are set by ICP/GDRFA and can change — we confirm the current schedule before you apply.

No. Once your chosen validity period (60, 90, or 120 days) expires, you must either exit the UAE or have secured a job offer and started the conversion to an Employment Visa. Overstaying triggers daily fines.

This is a single-entry, self-sponsored permit issued only to the applicant — family sponsorship isn't available on it. Once you secure a job and convert to a UAE residence visa, you can then sponsor eligible family members through the standard process.

Your new employer initiates the standard UAE Employment Visa process — including a medical fitness test taken inside the UAE, Emirates ID registration, and residency stamping. The job seeker permit itself doesn't convert automatically; it's the entry point, not the final status.

Fees depend on your chosen validity, profile, and any additional services required. We provide a transparent quote in writing before you pay anything — ask for a full breakdown at your first meeting.
